1978-2008: BOOKLINK HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR 30 YEARS....
I would like to thank you for all your support and being part of our success over these past years - we have certainly been witness to many changes!
In 1978, The Smurfs appeared on TV for the first time and Garfield the Cat was syndicated. We saw the release of "Grease" and "Superman", and the launch of Space Invaders, the first ever arcade video game. "We Are The World" was recorded and the Sex Pistols played their final concert.
In 1978, the first test tube baby was born... and so was BOOKLINK.
While the world watched the conception of in vitro fertilisation, Evelyne Duval and Lotte Jarvis were creating their own incubator to help nurture and develop high quality titles on an international level.
Working from a bedroom in Lotte's home in Hertfordshire, they started with only two clients, a handful of titles and a vision of the future. Now, nearly 30 years later, BOOKLINK has represented thousands of titles for numerous clients in over 60 countries around the world. Who could have foreseen that from these humble origins, BOOKLINK would grow into the renowned international presence that it is today?
Since 1978...
BOOKLINK has blossomed and grown, spreading its wings throughout the international publishing community. 25 years plus after the birth of IVF, we see the battle to claim the first human clone but BOOKLINK has maintained its originality and authenticity. BOOKLINK prides itself on developing longstanding personal relationships and finding innovative, high quality titles that will grow and prosper over time, as BOOKLINK has. Through the changing times, BOOKLINK has maintained its strong values and genuine passion for books, providing a friendly, professional service throughout the international publishing community.
